Less than two weeks after RHEL 8.4, the community-based, binary compatible AlmaLinux 8.4 founded by the CloudLinux OS team was released.

The first stable version of Almalinux, a binary-compatible drop-in replacement for CentOS, is available.

AlmaLinux is a new RHEL fork, with its first release planned within Q1, 2021.
